GRANARY DARKROOM

Processing film and using darkroom trolly #2 within my granny flat has been transformational for my work, however the time has come to expand into a dedicated space. Plans are underway to construct a home darkroom big enough to swing a cat. A place to house vintage gear, a room to create photographic art. This space I declare - Granary Darkroom.

PROCESS

The act of creative expression is extended with developing your own film and prints. I’m so enamoured by this process, sometimes I’m blinded during that flow, and then I get this surprise gift at the end, being the final images. With this ownership, process can evolve. I promised myself that once I hit 100 rolls of traditionally developed film, I'd explore alternative processes, and sustainable options. I am currently working on how I can showcase and adopt alternative practices while embracing the changed nature of what is produced as a result.
